How it works
The clinical visit comes to your environment.
Mobile outpatient physical therapy follows the same clinical purpose as outpatient PT in a clinic: evaluation, an individualized plan, skilled treatment, progress measurement, and coordination with other members of the care team when appropriate. The difference is location.
A first visit typically includes a conversation about symptoms, health history, medications or precautions that affect movement, and the activities that matter most to you. Jake may assess strength, range of motion, walking, balance, transfers, stairs, and task-specific movement before explaining the plan and beginning treatment.
Because care happens where daily life happens, treatment can address real stairs, chairs, walking routes, home exercise setup, and practical barriers that may be difficult to reproduce in a clinic.

Mobile outpatient PT is different from home health.
Mobile outpatient physical therapy
Outpatient physical therapy delivered at a patient’s home or another appropriate location. Patients generally do not need to be homebound. The focus is skilled physical therapy, with coverage subject to the patient’s plan and medical-necessity requirements.
Home health
A separate healthcare benefit for people who meet specific eligibility criteria, often including a homebound requirement. A home health episode may include nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social work, or home health aide services.
